Miss Uganda UK is at the forefront of British contests for women of African descent, with this year’s winner going on to win Miss Uganda (World) and participating in Miss World 2009.  This contest is particularly good, as it celebrates the beauty, culture and heritage of women of Ugandan descent, living in the UK, and provides opportunities for them to be seen on a national stage.  The directors look for something unique in their winners, who have to be confident, beautiful, ambitious and empowered with a sense of social responsibility.
