Miss Jamaica UK is the original and highly popular beauty pageant amongst the UK’s Jamaican heritage.  Each year, many young women from across the UK compete to win the title, and be an ambassador for Jamaican women in the UK.  The contestants represent business and charities, and the winner becomes an ambassador for a year, to promote her charities and cultural heritage.  Contestants in previous years have said that his contest is lots of fun, and a great launching pad for them to forge successful careers in the UK and abroad, by being noticed in Miss Jamaica UK.  Miss Jamaica UK not only benefits contestants, it has helped many Jamaicans in need through its charity contributions. Part of the proceeds from the contest goes to charities such as the Blind Society, Maxfield Park Children’s Home and Jamaica Early Childhood Development Foundation.  A very good charity pageant!
