The 1020 contest was given a new lease of life and a 21st century twist! The previous owner, Robert De Keyser, was been bought out by ex - winner and all round fabulous lady Liz Fuller.  Liz brought Miss GB into the 21st century with the abolishment of the bikini round, and the inclusion of sinlge mothers and married women into the contest, proving that any woman, regardless of her marital status and age, can be beautiful.  The 2010 contest banished the old trashy image of bikinis and boobs and the 2010 final returned the contest to it's old roots by being held at the Grand Pier in Western Super Mare.  The website has also been given an image makeover, with funky new graphics and fresh new faces entering online.  The 2010 contest was not without controversy however, and director Liz is now looking for a new CEO to run the pageant, as she is taking up new projects in the USA.
