Miss Bollywood UK is both a national and a regional pageant.  Winning the title Miss Bollywood UK will open many doors in the Bollywood industry, as the directors are incredibly well connected, however it is also a regional heat into the Miss Universe UK final, and as a result, the winner does not attend an international contest.  The show is sponsored by Birmingham City Council, among others, which last year ensured a great location for the pageant at the ICC in Birmingham, the prizes are good, and the judges seem impartial.  Entry age is 17 – 27 years, which is due to the Miss Universe UK rules dictating the entry requirements.  A good contest to enter for asian ladies wanting to be noticed in the UK pageant circuit.
