As any beauty queen knows, a good base is essential for creating both your daytime and stage looks.  After a lot of searching and many faces of foundation later, the UK Beauties team found Estee' Lauder's Doublewear Foundation to be give the best coverage.  At around £25 a pot, it may seem expensive, but it's well worth it if you want to create a flawless face from morning 'till night.  It is so concentrated and provides such good coverage, so use it sparingly when applying, and follow with a small brush of powder.  Perfect!
